wambats 1st big flat(yahoo!!!!!)

    It was July 5 2:30am when i was awoken by the beauiful sound of my bait clicker screaming 100mph.I grabed the 8ft ple and waited for the big feller to slow some and set the 7/0 hook and the fight began. Tthe fish was heading down river and crossed the chanel towards anthor beg log jam, it took me 10-15 min to coaks him back to the boat and anthor 5 to get him off the bottom. al was the net mand and barely got him landed, he didnt want to fit in the walleye net, but we got him in.

    the fish mesured 50in , didnt have scale to weigh but am gusseing 40+lbs.

    Very, very nice! This last photo really shows the true size of your fish… quite the dandy. Get him on a bully or a chub?

    This should have been titled “Wambat is no longer a virgin!”

    There’s only one problem with that size a fish being your first one…You are now hooked for life!

    caught him on a bullie, 3rd time out for flats on the minnesota river, i will be there every saturday untill the snow flys if the wife likes it or not
