Hoping to get a few pointers,
I am going to be moving to Shakopee in a couple months, just wondering if there are any good fishing areas around there. Is the river fishable in that area? What can you catch out there. Any help is appreciated

A number of great lakes in the area, river is fishable too, depending on species.

My Fav Lake over there is O’Dowd, but then Prior and Sping are close too. Go Northwest to Chaska/Chanhassen and you have Lake Ann, Lotus, Riley, Minnewashta, Stieger, Parley and Waconia and a little to the North is Minnetonka.

O’doud is AMAZING for bass, the next state record is in there. Good northern in that lake too.

Spring is a good walleye lake with some big crappies.

In my mind Prior is over rated I would stay away from there

To the North a bit you have Minnetonka which has everything and Minnewashta
