If you are talking Sawbill Rd area by Tofte, then by all means if you have a small boat, give Lake Clara a try. Lots of walleyes for dinner, not jumbos but tons of 14 to 16 inch eyes. Its a very shallow football field entrance to get into the lake with lots of rocks sticking up so use your troller or tiller up high and slow. Beautiful little lake.

There are lots of good lakes up there. Sawbill is good, Brule is a fun one, crescent, i could go on and on. I don’t know how many countless days I’ve spent up there

Lots of smallmouth opportunities, Brule has potential for trophy pike and eyes, but it is a much larger lake with endless structure. decide if you wanna canoe or not, lots of good camping on all these lakes, whether you are canoeing or in a boat.

We fished sawbill with somw good luck and poraged to Smoke lake (maybe). We had no electronics so we casted shore lines and emergent vegitation. Bass pike and walleyes were all biting. My brother in law swears by a white double tail and a small spinner. I used a shallow crank. Should be fun. Got room in your tent for one more?
