OK, we hit Ottertail last year, both the wife and I and another trip with a buddy.
Now we’re thinking about next year.

We did so well last time I asked, I thought I’d try again.

So far we’ve ruled out Milacs, Vermilion, Ottertail, Leech and any other lake with a slot limit.

Something with in that 200 mile range from Mpls or so and looking for mainly crappies and walleyes, then northerns or musky’s.

Preferring a decent (wife compatible) resort and a lake maybe big enough to go find a sheltered bay if weather is poor.
Looking at a week for the guy trip and the wife thinks maybe 4-5 days.
Guy trip will be middle Sept, I’m not sure when her highness wants to go.

Oh…the wife says a golf course nearby would be nice..:)

    Anybody???

    TIA

Can’t go wrong with anything in the Alexandria area.. So many lakes to try in that area.

The state has a slot limit on walleyes, 1 over 20″ in possession.

    Tamerack Lodge on Winni?

(Don’t tell them Bk sent you…they will charge you more)

It’s in a bay, has all the fish you’re looking for.

I’m not the guy to help out with golf courses though.

If your interested in crossing the border into Canada…I have a place that won’t disappoint you.

No prob, it’s not that we want to desecrate the lakes fish population, we just want to make sure we have a meal or two..sometimes them no fish 17″ to 26″ make it hard when fishing is slow.

Winnies out anyway, growing to not like big shallow lakes and windy days.

    thanks all.

I understand that, but no fish from 17-26 means if fishing is slow, maybe nothing for lunch.

I can deal with nothing over 20″, it’s the 16 and under I don’t care for.

check out CEDAR CREST on White Earth lake. You will not be disappointed with the fishing and nearby attractions.
