Fished a couple of lake around Cambridge over the weekend. Found plenty of ice out on the lakes but there is also a lot of slush to go with it. Fishing was pretty good for number. Caught Plenty of perch, sunnies and crappies on small Gil Pils and Diamond jigs tipped with Larvae. Size was pretty typical for the area. Didnt seem like to many people out on the lakes in this area. Wonder if the slush and snow conditions are keeping people home.

How where conditions out on Green Jason? Fished Skogmen yesterday and luckily we didnt have to walk very far as there was a lot of slush on the lake.

Had a northern chase a sunfish up the hole yesterday on that lake. Have had a few panfish get hit while on the line over the years but this was a first to have one come up the hole. Stuck his head out of the water to before going back down.

Mike – I have fished that lake numerous times as my brother used to live on the lake. Northerns seem to be strong in that lake. We normally ice fish not far from the landing just south. We have had many northerns take our gils and sunnies. Have set tip ups and caught our fair share too. Very fun when the sunnies go away -it is time to look out the window for a flag !!!

There was plenty of slush on Green too. But we were walking and didn’t sink too far down into it. I forgot my auger gas in the garage and had enough in the tank to drill 3 holes.

We sat in one spot and weren’t able to jump around and find any fish….and that began my weekend comedy of errors that seems to hit me every holiday season.
