Well guys it’s getting close !! Almost here…my long awaited trip to the Grand Rapids area for a week. We have a wedding on the 31st then it’s fishing. Staying on Lake Wabana just north of Grand Rapids so if anyone has some suggestions on where I could concentrate my efforts up there. Looks like I have alot of options. Not being very far from some great Walleye lakes. Heck I could even Bass fish all week !!! Any help you know would be greatly appreciated. Glenn

i grew up fishing the schoolcraft state park area and the mississippi river. it’s an awesome fishery for pike, musky, and walleye if that’s what your targeting. we would go troll daredevils and do really good on most days. good luck

I have been able to make it out quite a bit in the last few weeks, mainly afternoons & evenings. I would try trolling live bait in deeper waters during the day if its nice out. Try trolling cranks shallow later in the day. I have heard wabana is a good lake I have never fished it myself tho. But no doubt these same techniques will catch walleyes every day on a few different lakes pretty close to where you will be. Good Luck

Thanks everybody for your input. I’ll be pounding anywhere I can this coming week for info. Looks like from where we’re staying it’s about 30-40 min. to either Winnie or Bowstring !!!!
