    looking for some info on fishing the cannon river on opener, are there places to camp along the river

    There are quite a few sections to the river, do you have a particular area you are looking at? above Cannon Falls or below Cannon Falls?

    we are looking at both the lower and upper part of cannon falls, where ever the walleyes bite

    There is a campground in Welch and some pretty fair walleye fishing in that stretch of river.Onother option is Cannon Falls at lake Bylsby,campground on the Dakota county side.Walleyes on the rip rap right out front.
