Buddy and I this coming sept are going to spend 3-4 days on a lake, we had planned on Vermillion, but the no walleyes between 17 and something mean a fish dinner or two might be a little hard to deal with, so….

Any suggestions for a lake that contains crappies, walleyes and either northerns or musky’s with in maybe 4 hours of the twin cities??
    Closer is ok too.

We need a cheaper resort to stay at, but don’t need anything to fancy also.

    Anybody??

Ottertail lake Vactionland resort is also a site sponsor, rated #2 walleye lake in MN with lots of panfish as well…
I beleive the link on the top of this page should give you all the info you need.

I would seriously consider this lake and resort..very very good fishing and not very populated as well..

Let me know if I can help Allen……

Crappie’s can be a tough find in Sept, but the eye’s and the gators typically become ‘suicidal’ in the fall! There is a 30″ slot on the pike, with 1 over allowed – needless to say the population is crazy strong!

BIG minnows on OT in the fall….. Doesn’t get any better!

Should also mention that the trolling bite isn’t too shabby either if you prefer that….

Thanks guys, I’ll run it by Tim, sounds good though.

Web site looks good, didn’t see if there was a extra charge if you bring your own boat or not?

Sept 22-26 is what we’re looking at

    Thanks.

No hidden charges here…. It’s up to you if you want to rent a boat lift or trailer your boat at night – we do have our own ramp.

Don’t have my reservation book right in front of me, but I think I only have 3 cabins left for those dates…. I can check for sure later and let you know….
