Green or Chisago Lake

    Anyone been out on Green or Chisago Lake in the northern suburbs lately? I’d like to take my daughter to a good spot to nail some crappies.

    It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to be out on the ice!

    Fan outdoors this morning said White Bear lake 10-12 fow for crappies and sunnies right in the weeds….That could be a ton of fun for the little one…I am sure a quick phone call to Frankies Marine will give you an up todate report for Green or Chisago…

    Chisago is usually a good bet this time of year. Stop in at mikes or frankies on HWY 8 and they will steer you in the rite direction. Best bets for action is to just set up near one of the community spots and fish euro larve on a small jig. If you are not on fish in short order just move a little. Have done this in the past with my kids and it is entertaining.

    i took my kids when they were younger to green southwest side shallow water and good action to keep kids busy quality is not always very good but bobbers down alot weeds lower in spring also waxies small minnows will catch fish
