The crappies were bitting through the ice on Sunday night on prior. I am sure that rain and wind moved that ice out quick.

A guy fell through on White Bear Lake today 50 yards from shore. The ice rods went into storage today for this guy!

I’ve seen alot of the smaller lakes in the metro area looking like a sea of floating ice cubes with most of the shore lines open 20-100 feet out. I drive around alot durring the day if your have a couple of lakes in mind let me know I will try to drive by.

I drove up hwy 10 last night and saw 10 or so people (I presumed fishing) just south of the Mermaid. Could not see the water from the lane I was in but assume it is a creek? What would they be catching?
