I was watching the news I think it was last night and they said the DNR might change the limit of walleyes from 6 to 4 a person.

I am not sure what to think other than yeah lower the limit can increase the population. Do you think it will hurt the resorts even more for the travelers that do come to our state with a lower limit.

I haven’t done much research but what is other states limits ? How is there population of walleye?

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? It wouldn’t matter to me so much. If they were to lower it but what about just a general slot for the whole state like a 14-20 inch slot and one over 28. Then the rules would be alot simpler.. That might not work because every lake is different in how fast they produce a slot walleye. But its a thought. What would make the fishing for walleye lasting and have a high pop?

I find it funny how mille lacs goes from one of there highest populations of walleye (2-3 years ago) to there lowest is seems. Someone should drain the lake and find out really how many are in there. I bet there is more than what one thinks.
