    Chappy,
Used to stay at a place called Shady lawn every year in August for a week 5 or 6 years in a row. The Resort closed down 3 years ago. It is a very shallow lake. If memory serves me correctly only 15-20 feet in the deepest areas. You will mark lots of fish in the 12 foot depths but they are tight lipped. 8 fow seemed to produce eyes dragging crawlers on plain hooks. There was a slight drop off along the reeds between the resort and the public launch that produced some eyes. Also found some by the rock point south of bird island. Lipless cranks trolled also put fish in the boat. We caught some nice panfish off the docks at 9 am and 3 pm the walleyes seemed to bite best in mid afternoon. also picked up some northern on spoons. Because it is so shallow if there is any wind at all the lake tends to get white caps, when this happened we would trailer up and try fishing Sewell very close to Ashby and protected from the wind ask in town as to the whereabouts. Try the 15 foot weedlines also the drop offs right out from the boat launch. Good luck let me know how you do.
