End of vacation report !

Well its back to work tomorrow . My wife and I were on vacation all week and got to do some good fishin. Did some good smallmouth and largemouth bass fishin around home. Went carp shootin on thursday out at the cabin and left for Bigstone to camp and fish for the weekend..Im not a big Walleye angler but they were hittin like crazy. We were in about 8 feet of water just off the east side of Kite Island..I think thats the name..we just had a little 14 ft boat as everyone we went with pulled campers because of the warm temps. We pulled crawlers on bottom bouncers and had a good eating limit in about an hour and half..The biggest we caught was 24 inches and kept nothing under 13inches…nothing huge but they were hot all weekend..We dont usually keep too many fish but we had to keep a few for the fish fry to go with all the beer..After this weekend I might have to think about targeting the Walleye again….Jay

This is my future brother in law who loves to fish but only gets to go about 4 times a year, so we all had a blast.

My dad with another..He did a good job controlling the boat as it seemed everytime we would “turn” thats when the fish hit…so we went in circles for most of the day.

This was a nice 4.1lb large mouth taken in a little lake near home.

This was a 4.4 lb caught right after the one above from same spot…My wife had another from same spot that was 4pounds plus but got off at the boat…she was a little pissed.

Very good report!! Good to hear that you got into some good eyes. BigStone can be a super place to be on the right day.
