I just got the word that gas is going up 30 cents tomorrow because 2 oil refineries (of 6 I believe) got shut down. I got it from a good source.

The source by the way was my brother who’s wife owns a small station. He also had the clerk at an SA tell him he was lucky he didn’t wait until tomorrow. I could imagine a lot of people starting the opener out with a bad taste filling up tomorrow!

Filled the van and boat up after fishing tonight at 3.05 a gal. in Rochester. If it keeps going higher the jon boat is going to see alot of week night fishing close to home and will save the bigger boat for just times when I need to use a bigger boat.
    Thanks, Bill

I read this thread a few minutes too late! Missed Sam’s Club gas by a half-hour! Filled up at the SA in Woodbury – $2.99 per gallon. filled the boat (~$75) and topped off the truck (~$25)!

I’m going to be a lot more aware of the locations of boat launches… it’s a heck of a lot cheaper to tow your boat to a launch near the fishing hole than to launch close to home and go WOT in the boat! I also think I may just pick up that canoe I’ve been looking at!!!

I dint fill up.. but I stuck $35 in the tank… that should keep me fishing the minneapolis radios for the next week…

Now, to put $40 in the boat gas can tomorrow, and another $15 worth of hardware to bolt it down so it doesnt get stolen again out of my driveway like last weekend They took the can out of the boat, emptied it into their vehical in the alley and left the can laying on the side of the alley. Of course the cap and the fuel pickup unit they took off got run over by cars.

Gas prices.. I can live with it, and alter my habits to deal with it… People who mess with my boat, and take my belongings… that is another story
