Heres your thread guys. If you want to request a lake to be surveyed, Name the lake and county. Keep in mind that its is not at all possible to survey every lake in high definition. Determining what lakes are surveyed is done by popular demand. Thanks for your input!

Upper St. Croix River (north of Stillwater)
February 23, 2007 at 12:57 am #540465Well, We got a pond growning out in our horse pasture from snow and ice runoff that we have affectionately named “HorseSh|t Lake”… wouldn’t mind knowing the countours and depths of that thing before I go roaming around out there!
February 23, 2007 at 2:07 pm #540626Does it make sense to do it on Pool 2/3? From what I had seen, humps, depths, change every year. With every flood, holes get washed out or filled in. Also, levels can come up or down 2-3′ in a day, so the depth lines would rarely be quite right.

Big Stone (Ortonville) and Traverse to the north.
Maybe you didn’t hear, but there are no more fish in Traverse!!!!!!! Don’t ever bother going there again……
Matt;
on a serious note:
I would like to see every “major” muskie water have 1′ contours. If the DNR is going to stock it, it would be nice to have LakeMaster map it!With that said:
French Lake in Faribault, and I’ll take Shields and Mazaska too!I want to say Byllesby, but there just isn’t any new structure there……..

Yea Gary, Big Stone has been fished out also and Mille Lacs has been a dead sea for the last couple years.

Calhoun Chain.. calhoun, isles, cedar
Lake Harriet
Lake NokomisThese lakes are already real popular with the musky guys, but theres lots more fish hiding on those structures. I would love a high quality map of these lakes on the GPS.. I’ll be 1st in line for the chip if these are included!

Woman Lake in 1′ in Cass CountyFebruary 28, 2007 at 2:50 am #542519A couple of suggestions…
More metro lakes at 1 or 3′ contours…particularly Chisago area (N. Center, S. Center, Green, Chisago, Lindstrom), Weaver, MPLS lakes, Turtle. E and W Rush Lake also.Second idea…can types of structure be indicated on the maps? Rock, standing timber, weeds etc.
Thanks for a great product!
March 2, 2007 at 5:32 pm #543920I would like to see the following lakes done:
Lake Bemidji (Beltrami County)
Blackduck Lake (Beltrami County)
Lake Plantagenet (Hubbard county)
Lake of the Woods (By Wheeler’s Point) (LOW County)moccasinboy2003Posts: 33March 7, 2007 at 9:54 pm #546085ERB
Lake Bemidji is on the new chip in High Def-3ft contours. LOW is a seperate chip, and is upgradable as we survey more water. The current LOW chip, in 1ft contours, includes the Wheeler point area and the river all the way to Baudette. The next upgrade is coming out soon. Both lakes are available on paper as well. Thanks for the suggestions of Plantaganet and Blackduck.
