My brother and I are planning a fishing trip for next summer already adn neither of us have ever caught a Lake Trout. What are some good lakes to fish and what are the best techniques? Any help would be appreciated.

I might have some info for you depending on what waters or area you are plannning on targeting.
…. or you guys could just plan your first trip this winter and ice fish Clearwater Lake off the Gunflint Trail and do quite well. Airplane Jigs with a big ol’ dead Smelt and you’re golden! Every year there are a few 30+Lb. fish caught out of there through the ice. I just might have to try it myself this winter. Good Luck!
