Topwater baits or plastics have provided consistent bass action in the shallow weeds of Cedar Lake and Lake Mazaska. Sunfish also can be had in the shallow weeds of most lakes, but look to Roberds Lake and Mazaska for bigger fish. Leeches are producing a few walleyes on Cannon Lake in six to 10 feet of water and on French Lake in 17 feet. French Lake and Kelley Dudley Lake remain the best options for northern pike, while crappies continue to be caught on Cedar Lake and Lake Mazaska.
