Cannon lake or fairbault lakes

    Was thinking of going to cannon lake by mankato or a fairbault lake to avoid traffic. Anyone have any suggestions on whats biting? thanks

    Sheilds always host some decent sunnies/crappies. There is also some VERY nice bass in there.

    Mazaska is a also a good crappie lake.

    French too, can be good at times for sunnnies. There is also a nice population of muskies in that water, however there is a lot of pressure for them.

    Cannon does host a good walleye population and low-light evening fishing seems to be the best producer of fish.
