BWCA opener for Trout???

    I am thinking of heading up to the boundary waters opening weekend for lake trout – anyone have past experience doing this opening weekend?? Care to share any good destinations to fish??

    Give Snowbank Lake a try. We fished the opener for lakers up there for many years. Great action, and just abou the time the lakers start moving deep, the walleye action picks up. Smitty’s on Snowbank is an excellent resort, and are very helpful. They offer RV hookups , motel rooms, 2/3 bedroom suites, as well as stand alone cabins for rent. I would reccomend calling soon, because they are normally about full this time of year. Great trip though, and I wish i could go back
