SW MN Report

The crappies are biting on some of the Marshall area lakes (within 40 miles). My buddy and I went down to lake Shetek to check out the action. We easily caught 40 crappies in about 3 hours. We would have caught a lot more if it hadn’t taken us an hour to figure out what they wanted. Little jigs with a 3 inch tube was the ticket. Most of the fish were pretty small, so it was strictly catch and release.

Congratulations, sounds like a good time! I tried yesterday on a west metro lake that usually is good about now, but no luck other than 2 bass. Hopefully another couple days of warm weather and they should be in.

Ohh you guys are getting me fired up, I just may have to go in the morning now , I’ll let you know how I did if I do go.
