Anyone here fish for ’em on Mille Lacs. I’ve seen some monsters early in the year and never have any corn with me. This year I’m gonna give it a try…Anywhere else to maybe give it a shot besides the bays on the east side?

Vineland is good.. See lots of bow fisherman in there.

The northend sand is also good. Theres a big sandy beach along the hogs back, you can drive down to, use to anyways, and you can park there.

The Casino at one time sponsored a summer long tournament for carp. As Derek said there are alot of guy’s cruising and shooting bows for them.

Pretty interesting boat set-ups these guy’s have with the raised platforms and stuff.

Isn’t bow fishing considered spearing on mille lacs?

2 openers ago a buddy was out draging a leech and hooked into a monster. Thought it was a wallele the whole time. He even caught a glimpse and was sure it was an eye. What a dissapointment!

Last year I was at the river..Miss. and the same happened. I was pitching a fireball tipped with a minnow and hooked this beast! Thought she was going to be a monster eye!!!!
