A buddy and I are planning a fishing trip for the week of august 13-20 and we were wondering which lake in minnesota would be our best bet for walleye to make the trip worth while. We are hoping more for size than numbers but we will be happy with either, just looking for some steady walleye fishing. I would appreciate any info you have on sleeping accomaditions in the areas also. Thanks alot for any info that you may have.

Looks like were going to mille lacs right now. Was wondering if anyone has any info on lodging preferably on the lake. Also is there any certain techniques or areas to concentrate on that time of the year. Thanks

Mille Lacs is a good choice, the Red Door resort up on the north side is a nice place. A room with a double bed will cost you about 55.00 for a night. Their website is Reddoorresort.com, or 218) 678-3686

Keep an eye on the Mille Lace forum and the Reports Page for updates on the bite. Pretty good fishing going on right now, both shallow and deep.

If you want to do a “tuna hunt” for big eyes. Now is the time to go to LOTW. Those launch boats are always boating 10 to 13lb fish.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like we will be staying at twin pines resort during the week of august 12-19. We were at LOTW last year and we wanted to try somewhere different this year. We are still looking for a guide during one of those days if any of you on here are available during that time and wouldnt mind doing a full day trip you can shoot me an email. Thanks again
