Channel Cats on small rivers

    The cats are starting to hit on the smaller rivers in this area (Mora) . Caught 3 nice 2-3 lb. females yesterday morning on cut suckers. None had any eggs in them. Too early yet?

    Went for a while last night. None on suckers , but the guy next to me caught a couple of eaters on leeches. (didn’t have any.) He was sitting in my spot , I couldn’t reach the hole from my position. He told me that he caught a 14 pounder a couple of days ago on a leech.

    With the warmer weather they should really get going soon.

    Do fish for them on the Ann River under 65? We have a cabin on knife, but I’d like to go catfishing every once in a while up there.
