Interesting. I have done this, only with a Phelp’s floating jig head and a bead with some good results. But I always make sure the nightcrawler doesn’t spin in the water after reading an article by Gary Roach. Anyone else have some input to this?
I have had good luck with this also. I know of two fishing trips that we were on that this made the difference between a fantastic trip and an ok trip. I have also found when fishing this way SLOW in the answer, this is about the only time I use my drift sock. Never tried the spin verson, going to try it next time. Probably depends on the day which way they want it.
