Sturgeon lake,mn first time trying the lake.

Usually I fish Mississippi river in grand rapids, or mille lacs on opener. This year with a buddie buying a cabin not to far from sturgeon lake “the one by Hinckley” we decided to switch it up this year so totally clueless as to what this lake has to offer or how to apporch it. Will be heading up tomorrow evening for the weekend, anyone with info would be appreciated!

My parents have a cabin on it. I have fished it all my life growing up. PM me if you need more specific help. Ok the walleye are not good in it anymore. The northern are all over but read the reg book. They have rules on those. The crappies are great. I think this time of year try north end in the shallows. Sunfish are all over big ones are deeper and the bass are in there but closed right now. Good Luck!!!
