Shiners in Deer River area this weekend????

    We are headed up for the opener and looking for advise on if we will be able to find any shiners in the Deer River area or should a guy try to buy them in the cities and see if we can keep em alive for the ride up! I have called 2 bait stores in the area and neither of them know if they will have any by Friday night!

    So if we decide to buy em down here, does anyone have any good ways to keep em alive for 4 hrs during the drive. I was thinking of using a cooler and a aerator but looking for advise! Any and all ideas are welcome!

    Oxygen bag on its side and a cooler or two. Use just a few ice cubes to keep cool

    I would call before heading up. They are way cheeper up north they don’t count them all out most places like the guys in the cities do. They buy them by the gallon and sell by dozen. That started a few years ago what a joke.
