Got up to the cabin at 6 on friday, put the dock and boat in and got ready for a full day of fishing. went down to the dock at midnight and was looking in the water with my headlight to see if any walleyes were hanging around the dock, and to say the least there were a few…close to 40 fish were with in 50 feet of my dock, chasing eachother around. the next morning we went into the BWCA and got into only one 23″ eye, but i bunch of nice smallies and northerns, and a bonus whitefish. fished my cabins lake in the evening and got a 27″ eye, matching my pb from a few years ago. got up this morning and on the first drift got a 24″er, a half hour later landed a 37″ northern, and at 10 AM landed a 29″ walleye that pushed just over 10 pounds!! a fight to remember!
Lets here about others opener success!

Our party of 4 got into the eyes and northerns pretty good on a Chisago County Lake. Here is an old school meat pole pic I took with the cell phone. The more tasteful pics haven’t been e-mailed to me yet.
