All I have to say is that there was far less chance of voter fraud and fixed elections prior to all this Vote by mail and all the Absentee voting. It doesn’t matter if you are Democrat or republican if you can’t agree with that then there is nothing more to say. I’ll give a little bite of a example. Lets say that you are a die hard member of either political party and you are a mail carrier. You stop at a home to pick up outgoing mail. In the mail is a mail in ballot ( Clearly marked I believe ) you notice a sign in the yard supporting the opposite candidate as the mailman supports. Your telling me you don’t believe there is a chance that something ends up happening to that Ballot preventing it from making it to the location to be counted ???? This kind of thing was just not possible prior to mail in voting. That is just one example of many that I could give where voting fraud may occur with mail in voting. Just go back to the way those who founded this great country intended it to be done.

Well lets go back LOL Absentee ballots were first used for the military during the American Civil War. Early absentee voting laws restricted the practice to members of the armed services. The first allowance for civilian absentee voting was in Vermont in 1896. By 1938, 42 states allowed absentee voting for civilians.

Thumbs up and respect to you gimruis. Those are tough jobs, thanks for serving.

Thanks Dan. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that every single one of my co workers is a hard working dedicated federal employee, because its just not true. There are absolutely some bad apples in this profession that are only in it to collect a paycheck and do nothing more. Its very difficult to get rid of lazy and unproductive employees in this field. The majority of people working here are not like that though.

What’s you point. I’m not saying its anything new. but I can tell you the % of voters using it increased greatly in the last election. To me there are very few if any reason for someone to vote by mail. Many states even have laws requiring employers to allow time for employee’s time off to go vote. all I can say is the voting Gap difference between mail in votes and in person voting looks really questionable to be. take a few Minutes and look through this:

Why the hell would anyone want to wait in line for hours to vote ? I vote absentee because of the convenience . You made some conspiracy claims about mailmen ! Got any proof to back that up ?

I haven’t voted in person for at least the last 8 elections (general and mid-term). I vote by mail every time. Why? Because even though I am permitted 2 hours of time off to go vote on election day, I simply prefer to do it at my own house and take my time instead. There’s how many local elections for sheriff, city council, etc and I have no clue on the candidates so I take time and look them up.

Also, election day often falls on the Tuesday after firearms deer opener and I’m in my stand that day.

Thumper you’re proving something CAN happen. Which has nothing to do if it DID happen.

And, you had to request your ballot, other than the last election. My sister received 4 ballots last election. She requested none. WTF

I get it. No proof then it didn’t and cant happen. Was just giving a example of how it could happen with mail in. Carry on.

Like I said. Look at the data breakdown between mail in and in person voting at the last election. You tell me why there was such a large difference in the gap between the two candidates.

So are you saying you can’t take time at you own house during your own time and review the candidates prior to the election day. I do believe that most candidates are know and even sample ballots available well in advance of the election date.

As far as missing a few hr’s in a dear stand on a tues. every 4 years goes well if that’s such a hardship I’m sure most will understand.

All I can say is that prior to the high # of people voting by Absentee ballots there was vary little doubt of voter fraud and not many people questioning the results of the election. There is a far difference between a small percentage of people who have a legitimate reason for not voting in person and a Large % of people who simply don’t want to.

Traditional absentee ballots and the mail-in voting that occurred during 2020 are two different things. The rules were changed and the checks and balances to vote integrity severely diminished.

Like Thumper said if you can’t agree with that (regardless of party) there is not much more to talk about.
