Don’t you guys mean Rolinandez? The season where two goalies split time because neither one could keep it together for more than two consecutive games.

If you recall, during the playoffs, one goalie would start each series get the team in a 3-1 hole. Lemaire would switch goalies and ride the other until the next round.

Backstrom was certainly dominant formative 2 years but he was no better than Doobs in the playoffs. Probably worse.

    I’m going with Doobs.

Looks like the same team to me. Great chances as they had early in the third period but just can’t bury the puck and then give up 2 quick ones the other way. Yep they will be buried and very uninteresting well before Thanksgiving.

It’s early. I hope they turn it around.

It is early. They have played 3 top tier teams all on the road and face another on Saturday. If they were playing teams like Ottawa with this sort of outcome I would be more disappointed.
The 4 on 4 killed them last night. They might be worse at that than 3 on 3 OT.

Exactly and they’ve shown they can’t compete…they are who we thought they were…yes they showed flashes…but prove time and time again they can’t put together a complete game that dates all the way back into last season and beyond..they show zero chemistry…man I wish foligno would have just layed out liane on that cheap shot to ek…but he pry would have been doing him the favor of straightening out some of them grizzly teeth…i didnt have high expectations for them this season…and as much as they kerfuffle(yes word of the day) me off I will continue to watch…without expectations or low expectations at least there may be some surprises in store for a guy…does brucey go if they have a losing season? I don’t know that it’s on him completely this roster just doesnt click…it will be interesting to see where they stand come deadline and if Billy cleans house

There definitely will be roster changes during the season, the question is just how soon. Some people are clamoring for bringing up young guys like Sturm. I dont know if that would be a good idea. Let them get lots of ice time in Iowa and get their legs. No sense in bringing them up to get few minutes and bottom 6 at that.
Its hard to even speculate who they could even get, but they certainly need help up the middle.
Kunin really needed to bury that puck. He had a great chance and even Greenway had a decent chance on the rebound. The pucks are not not going in. Frustrating to see over and over and over.

This is going to be a long season…but hopefully this is the bottom and we pay our dues towards improving the franchise long term…

Anybody know what the hell happened to Mats Zuccarello over the offseason? He looks like a beer leager out there…

I agree. He’s not the type of player who can change a franchise. He’s a role player on a team already full of role players.

Its a rare noon game today in Ottawa. How this game turns out will tell a lot about where this team is at. Gerry Mayhew gets called up. No word on whether or not he plays today however. They didnt have to send anyone down, but in all honesty, Rask didnt have a bad game last game.

I see Zucarello is not playing today. Some undisclosed injury. Full slate of games today starting at noon. You can watch hockey from noon to darn near midnight if you want. Don’t think I’ve seen this done before. Good day to be retired!

Well the bad news is we aren’t scoring many goals so far this season. The other bad news is we aren’t stopping many goals from being scored on us so far this season.

I think if we could score ~2x more goals per game and give up 1/2 as many per game we’d be right on track.

After that embarrassing home loss (Penguins just destroyed the Jets as well, so there’s that) If they don’t react positively on this road trip then Guerin will have to make some tough decisions alot earlier than he thought he would…

I’m more into independent consulting, and my hourly rate is a steal at $300/hour. I’ll give you a hint of my draft strategy too(but not the whole thing). In general, we should be drafting players who will develop into above average NHL players.

I sort of like this idea and think they should apply something similar to trades. They should trade for players that have equal or greater value than what they give up.

I think we’re really getting somewhere.

I thought maybe the Common man called in sick today, and KFAN was replaying a broadcast from the weekend, but nope they are really playing at noon on a Monday. Seems odd, is there even anyone there? Am I missing something?

Seems the Wild’s power play has gotten one dimensional. Feed Dumba at the top of the circle. Just like Washington and Ovechkin. Only Dumba’s no Ovechkin.

watching the game, it’s just amazing to me that the power play STILL has no idea what it’s doing out there…guys can’t make 2 passes in a row without putting one in their skates and losing the puck…”What time does the varsity play?” because this JV performance is tough to watch…this is all against the worst team in the NHL..well maybe the former worst team…

Fiala is just a turnover machine…

That empty net goal by Parise has been our season in a nutshell… Who knows maybe they somehow get a spark from this win, but my god is Ottawa just awful!
