And you accuse grouse and I of drinking the coolaid??? If you are hanging on this quote you might want to take a glance in the mirror.

In all the rhetoric I may have, but I do not recall that. I have called your views,as looking through Rose colored glasses and wearing blinders, that I am sure of.
I have not wavered on my views, so no mirror needed here.

If anything, the Kloos/Aberg trade suggests they’re trying to get better now to make a run.

You and Grouse have stood on the players we currently have,(#5 excluded) while many of us have said changes needed to be made for this team to improve.
Now that trades have happened you offer alternative views from your prior
    statements.

Everyone here mentioned that trades were needed to improve the team, not to tear it completely apart.

Yes; I do believe more trades are coming and are needed.

    Your comments have become nonsensical.

I expressed dissatisfaction with Fenton’s “play what we have” direction since his first press conference. Look up the thread.

And who is the #5 you think should be excluded? I’m especially interested in this one since you don’t appear to know enough about the Wild to know they don’t have a #5 on the roster.

In the meantime, your Blackhawks and your latest favorite team, the Caps played a very entertaining, if defensively-challenged game today. Your theory on the Blackhawks taking a draft-enhancing dive seems a little shaky since they were obviously trying their hardest and eventually managed to win this goal fest.

In the meantime, for those of us who actually follow the Wild…

Saw a reasonable effort by the Wild last night. The new line with Parise Rask Aberg could have some potential, they potted one last night which proved to be the game winner. It will be interesting to see if Parise can encourage some chemistry to form in this line sooner rather than late.

Greenway continues to be impressive. He’s going to be something to watch.

Typo. Good cover. Yep, we’re fooled.

Carry on stupidly as you always do. But leave the Wild discussion to those of us who actually follow the team. You obviously don’t or you’d know there’s no #5.

Try something new, something fresh. Your ignorance is stale and it’s starting to make us all gag.

Keep chasing that unicorn you know affectionately as Leo’s Cup promise. Any day now the Wild are going to turn that corner and become that dynasty you’ve been looking for. By this time next year they’ll have that pure goal scoring superstar and HOF goalie. Not sure how you figure I’m wearing the blinders.

When faced with disagreement, you’re only defense is insults until your ignorance is forgotten. When faced with tough questions, you skirt answers like a presidential candidate and regurgitate the same old insults until interest is lost. So long as you continue to spew insults ignorance toward anyone who disagrees, I’ll be right there to keep you entertained with my “rose colored dribble”. wave

If you ever decide to grow up and find some humility and tolerance, I’ll be here too. waytogo

Now both of you are having a hard time dealing with reality, hardly surprising considering your responses.

I’m sure the wild are the only ones with a mission statement that involves winning a cup. Much like they are the only ones with any issues.

Oh, Tampa played their last game Saturday, so I assumed yesterday was the last day for every team. I thought it was an unusually long break. Tampa doesn’t play again until the Wednesday after this coming one.

Well, that’ll give the Wild’s front office a chance to confer with Huberty about finally getting rid of that useless #5 that Huberty’s going on about.

I only wish Huberty would lay out exactly WHY he wants the poor #5 traded. I mean, as far as I can tell, the guy literally hasn’t done ANYTHING, but yet Hockey Genius Huberty wants him gone.

Hubes, why don’t you actually watch a Wild game and then you can elaborate on why you think #5 needs to get gone. Be as specific as you can, please.

    3rd in the central!

I have a feeling Coyle has found himself. Yeah I know, I know. I’ve been impressed with the last few games I’ve seen him play.

That goal was all effort and I’m seeing him play physical and actually winning puck battles.

Well trade you Adam Erne for him if you don’t want him.

I think Huberty got his wish.. He meant to say trade the 5th round pick.. I think.. coffee

Wild traded for another D man and 6th round pick. I wonder what the plan is with the extra guys we have on the roster now? Another trade coming yet?

They’ve already sent Belpedio back to IA. As far as forwards go, they have the ability to send a guy like Ek back down if needed. No further moves are needed as of now. I just wonder if this move happened because Dumba may not be coming back as early as hoped.

The play of Aberg has been underwhelming thus far in my opinion. He doesn’t seem to be able to match the intensity of the rest of any line he’s on.

Rask on the other hand has been a pleasant surprise. He’s got some good speed and he plays with some serious intensity. I just hope he can find the back of the net at some point.

know idea what to think about this team anymore…when they look terrible I get excited at the possibility of roster changes and getting high draft picks, when they look good I excited that if they get into the playoffs all it takes is for your goalie to get hot and you can win the cup…

After looking at our recent trades I think Fenton had an off the radar intention with picking up Rask, the next expansion draft…A young center with an acceptable contract would be extremely enticing for an expansion team. So if Rask doesn’t really fit here with the Wild over the next season, he would be alot more easily moved than Nino could freeing up the cap space.

I think you are mixing up the two new guys. Rask has looked slow. Aberg has shown some speed and fired some good shots from the PP. Neither of them look to be a superstar by any means, but Rask worries me because Nino was plodding on the ice and Rask makes Nino look like McDavid. At least as of right now.

IMHO; They are simply so inconsistent, and no different than the team that has been bounced out of the playoffs the last 5 years.
Sometimes trading a popular player lights a fire under the a55 of the rest of the team, Other times it doesn’t.

I’m definitey not mixing them up but fast may have been the wrong word. He just seemed to bring some intensity that I haven’t seen out of Aberg.

Pretty early to tell considering I haven’t been able to pay close attention to either game thus far.

You need to watch closer Rask is terrible. Slow, out of position, and just cost them a goal tonight.
At least Staal tied it up. I will take the defensive liability with Aberg because he has offensive upside. Task has well nothing. Not even good on the face off. This move was ONLY done to save money for a bigger deal.

If that’s truly the case, why not trade for a draft pick? It would free up Ninos entire salary vs picking up another player.

As far as Rask goes, you’re probably right. I haven’t been able to watch too closely lately and was only able to catch a shift or two where he’s been out there.

Good win. After a slow/back-and-forth start, they played the 2nd and 3rd periods as the team of the two that wanted to win the game.

I don’t remember the first goal as much, but goals 2-4 had awesome assists by Staal, Granny, and Parise.

Looking back to after their ugly 4-0 loss in Boston, I think they’re something like 5-3 or 6-3, with the wins (mostly) coming against good teams and the losses coming against awful teams. Who knows what post-AS break will bring.

Too bad there is a break, but they appear back on track finally with Dumba out. Maybe Staal is setting up for a big final 30 games.

In theory that would be a better idea, but there is going to need to be money changing hands somewhere. Few teams can take on more salary without having some go the other way.

What a game last night! Man, It was intense and playoff style which is what Boudreau said before the game. That is a very important 2 pts.

Stars, Hawks, Sabres, Oilers and Devils coming out of the All Star Break. Lots of clunkers in there, lets hope the trend of losing to the bad teams doesn’t continue.
