She and they are either getting better or I was too hard on her before. Maybe I am just not used to a woman color person doing hockey.

The Preds pulled a Wild last night. 3-0 lead after 1 and blow it. That series is a tough one. They are beating each other up whoever wins the series might not have much left in the tank for whoever comes out of the Vegas/Sharks series.

Completely heads-up-butts play by the Preds last night. They’re letting the Jets beat them mentally. I thought Nashville was going to run away with this series, but from the first game they have been playing like their return to the finals was a sure thing and they just need to phone in 8 more wins to get there. Taking 3 bad penalties late in the third in a tie game is not a recipe for success.

Pens vs Caps is a terrific series. Crosby is still Mr. Playoff Hockey, but Ovechkin is finally playing like he actually wants to win and it shows.

Not quite sure what that means but my money is on the Jets and Tampa in the final series.
I think the cup will be won in Tampa Bay once again.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Oshie so pissed. Or in a fight for that matter.

He has no speed and a history of being fat and out of shape….

    BUT

He’s scored alot of goals at every level he’s played at sofar… he’ll need to prove it in Iowa now…

    Interesting.

Was Fletcher the main force behind the Wild’s apparent aversion to Russian and Eastern European players? Now Fletch is gone and…

Not sure who’s driving the Wild bus at this point, but I’m excited about at least the chance for a change in direction.

BTW, just watching G5 of the Caps v Pens. Pens just went up 3-2 halfway through in the 2nd.

This is a must win for the Caps, they cannot go down to the Pens because the chances of claiming 2 in a row from Crosby & Co… Well, it ain’t good.

The game Monday here in winnipeg will be epic. They are expecting 30-40 thousand people for the street party.

Probably the best Playoff series so far. Talk about building a heated Rivalry.

Something that the State of hockey longs for but severly lacks.

I guess the only thing left for Marchand to lick is his wounds.

Lol. All good. If they loose on Thursday, they made it a hell of a series. If they win…. you can hate us for another round!

The Preds/Jets series is a tough one and home ice has been no advantage thus far. It is setting up to be a great Game 7 in Smashville.
These two teams are really beating each other up. I wonder how much the winner will have left in the tank to go against Vegas?

I’m happy for Ovie finally exercising his Penguins demons last night…he looks like he’s playing hurt, but gutted it out…

Game 7 in Smashville should be fun to watch!

Agreed on the Caps finally getting over that hump. Perhaps there is hope for the Wild afterall.

I was actually happy for the Caps, I guess I can feel for a team that has that one opponent they can’t seem to get past. To me the Caps were one of those teams that shows that no matter how stacked you are with talent, there’s always the luck factor of who you’re going to have to play to get to the final. Dang bad luck for the Caps that the road always led past the headquarters of Crosby & Co, but they finally did it.

Jets vs Nashville, I didn’t see this coming at all. I thought the Preads were going to just pull away from the Jets and I was seeing 6 games at the most. The Jets have really found another gear.

I can’t watch the Vegas series. Sorry, but this IS a case, I freely admit, of “Expansion Sour Grapes” or ESG disease. A total crock to have a expansion team handed an entire finals ready team in one fell swoop. Might as well have handed them the first 3 draft picks for the next couple of years as well, that’s the only way the deal could have gotten any more candy coated than what they got handed to them. Feel bad for the real teams like San Jose who had to build a team the hard and legitimate way only to have the league hand Vegas a pre-built team. Kind of like the rich kid who’s dad buys his son a pre-built pinewood derby car and he uses it to win the trophy.

I agree Grouse, the whole expansion deal really hampered some things for many teams including the Wild. There is no doubt the Wild would have liked to have Tuch and Haula on the roster, but that specific example wouldn’t have worked either because Haula was due a contract and we couldn’t afford him. I know you didn’t pinpoint that in your comment, just putting it out there.
I would guess that Seattle is going to expect similar treatment at their expansion draft, but I have to think there will be significant push back to not “let” this happen again, but in the end is it really a bad thing? I’m not so sure it is.
The interesting thing will be this offseason and see what happens with the Vegas roster. If memory serves, they have a ton of guys they will need to sign. Could be interesting.

Vegas is built with a team of castaways..They ALL have a chip on their shoulder…It just goes to show you how many good players there are in the league and all they really need is icetime to prove it…I give them full credit, the hard part will be for them to maintain it moving forward once that chip wears off… The owners made the call on the xpansion draft rules, remember each owner got a check for 15 million from the league via the Vegas entrance fee, so it was all about the $$ to them..not losing good players…

The only thing to be sour about is that the Wild didn’t have the same pool of player talent to pick from when they came into the league…I mean just look at our picks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_NHL_Expansion_Draft)…omg what a joke…
