With players and the goalie standing around, if I was a ref I’d call it. It’s dangerous.

Charlie Coyle will grow up right in front of our eyes in game 3.Look out Byfunkly,Boston Charlie has painted a target on your back.
basseyesPosts: 2513April 14, 2018 at 3:17 pm #1767767We may not all agree on everything wild related, but this sUcKs to see them just get man handled so badly. They can’t take another physical beating like that again or they’ll just fold.
April 14, 2018 at 3:18 pm #1767768Is anybody really surprised?
DD has been phenomenal.
This ch!t is not fun to watch, and hasn’t been and will continue for years to come. But thankfully we make it to the playoffs, right?
Sorry, but this isn’t good enough for me anymore.
Then why do you continue to watch?
Huberty?

IMHO we have been waiting for Coyle to grow up for 5 years and I do not see any progress.
April 14, 2018 at 4:29 pm #1767784Heard on the radio a little while ago that the Wild flew back last night and the Jets waited until today. Currently no flights in and out of MSP so they were surmising that the Jets may not make it in time for tomorrows game.
Radio commentators were asking…”what were they thinking?”basseyesPosts: 2513April 14, 2018 at 5:19 pm #1767799I enjoy watching hockey. Hate watching a team through hommer blinders. I don’t owe this team blind loyalty for a crappy playoff product. Regular season great, playoffs sucks. Supporting a crap product for the sake of home town loyalty isn’t my thing. If the game’s and Jersey’s were free, yeah. But this is like buying a crappy car and staying with it cause of brand loyalty. I’m not a Vikings fan, but like their are trying to build a team. Yes, it’s hard, what isn’t? One and done’s are great I guess and we should all be sending the owners thank you cards with gifts for allowing us the pleasure of being able to buy a middle of the road product. I still like the wild, but this is getting old.
homerkPosts: 86April 14, 2018 at 5:30 pm #1767800I get the feeling that things are going to go the in the wilds favor in the next two games. I think wining at home is going to be the story here. Game 7’s are where the Wild shine.
Wild in 7
In the meantime I’ll be out cutting the grass.

Not a Vikings fan? How about those T-Wolves?
“Hate watching a team through hommer blinders.”So you’re saying you don’t like the Lindsay Whalen hire?
April 15, 2018 at 6:26 pm #1768064Great start to game 3. Five minutes in and they’ve taken two penalties and down 0-1.
So much for changing the tone and taking home ice momentum
April 15, 2018 at 6:42 pm #1768071I have a feeling Dumba is going to cost us this game. Nice to see some fricken anger from this team.
April 15, 2018 at 6:48 pm #1768073Thank the Lord we scored on our power play. Almost looked like we were going to blow the two-man advantage.
Winnipeg is still dominating the physical play…. we need something good to happen here

I was gonna say the same thing. If they didn’t score, they be spinning their wheels for the next period and a half.
April 15, 2018 at 11:36 pm #1768145That was fun to watch! Now we need to hold serve again and get this series tied up!!!
Charlie LundquistPosts: 44April 16, 2018 at 12:36 am #1768148Nice to see Seeler, Greenway, Foligno and Winnik stepping up.
I honestly think Seeler may have been the best player on the ice tonight. He blocked shots, he made plays and won his battles. Plus I love my guys that can fight.(or at least have the chops to) Also would have been great for the EP kid to score his first in a playoff game.
April 16, 2018 at 5:21 am #1768150It’s too bad he hit the post, because he deserved a goal.
Dumba proved me wrong. I thought he looked shakey in the beginning.
It was an impressive win considering the stakes and the penalties they took early. They need to win this next one still, because if they lose, I don’t see them winning game 5 in Winnipeg if they have a let down with a loss.
April 16, 2018 at 7:47 am #1768170Seeler has impressed me and has definitely gotten better the more games he plays, he also has a mean streak in him which this team needs. I think he’s cemented his role in our 3rd D pair in the future.
Greenway has also got alot more comfortable as well and it shows.
homerkPosts: 86April 16, 2018 at 9:25 am #1768197Great game;
Certainly looking like a home ice advantage series, if it gets to Game 7; I like the Wilds chances.
On the other hand Bostons-Charlie the Tuna, take off your sunglasses, put the drink down and get in the fight. Why this guy does not believe he can be a big part of the fortunes of this team is baffling?
It’s crazy when you think about it, but on every team
from squirts and on, there always seems to be one player on a team that has a talent level that people outside the boards can see, but the player himself is afraid to put the pedal to the metal.April 16, 2018 at 10:07 am #1768215Coyle’s issue is that he has 0% confidence in himself right now, he’s mentally delicate, it’s sad because we’ve seen glimpses of what he’s capable of, i think that’s also why the Wild has hung onto him. If he figures it out, he’ll be a good player for this team.
April 16, 2018 at 10:33 am #1768225Attended the game last night, was hoping the Wild could manage a win, but got a real show instead.
First off, I want to call out all the douchebag MN Wild “fans” who obviously bailed out on their own team and put their tickets up for sale so they could be snapped up by Jets fans. Unbelievable. Several Jets fans commented they were shocked to see prime tickets available in the usual season ticket sections. Talked to multiple Jets fans who said they had “no problem” getting tickets and I’ve never seen so many opposing fans at a playoff game. I hope you sold off your G4 tickets as well, so now you can’t get back in now that “your” team has won.
Keys to the game, I thought were:
– The Wild stopped trying to out-hit the Jets and let the Jets constantly take themselves out of position trying to deliver the big hit. The Jets are slow in transition and very soft in the middle of the ice and with traffic in front of the net, the Wild were able to victimize the Jets goaltending and untimately send their starter on the walk of shame.
– The penalty calls were very, very soft but at least they finally CALLED crosschecking in front of the net and the Jet’s favorite trick, the blindside hits after the whistle.
– It was clear that Bruce had Wild working on a totally differnt strategy of shooting hard shots and sending every available man to the net.
– The Jets can’t match the Wild’s depth if we get the 2-4 lines working like we did last night.

basseyesPosts: 2513April 16, 2018 at 12:00 pm #1768254Great game.
Considering the circumstances, I wouldn’t get to high with how inconstant this team has been.
The reality is one game doesn’t win a series, never has, never will. It take’s four.
If they somehow muster the grit to beat the jet’s, without RS, that will say a lot. If they don’t, same old one and done.
The fact people sold tickets proves how little faith this town has in a team with a proven track record post season. I don’t blame people for having better things to do. It’s a game where players are paid a mountain of money, who knows why people sold their ticket’s, that’s their business and their choice. Funny how people hold the fans who have to spend hard earned money to a higher level than over paid athletes.

Were you under a rock this weekend and not realize that there was a snownami taking place? Honestly, even if people in the metro could get there, there are folks that travel from other areas of the state to attend Wild games too. In Outstate yesterday it was brutal with the wind. yeah the roads were improving dramatically because the sun can do wonders, but all that drifting snow was making plowing a lost cause.

People sold their ticket’s long before the snow came. And somehow jet’s fans still made it to the game, weird?
Truly hope they win this series. And if they play like last night they have a chance. But this rodeo/rollercoaster has played out before.
