Did anyone look in on the Penguins Flyers game? Total a55 whipping by the Pens.

He’s just catching a nap so he can stay up for the Blackhawks first playoff game. Who are they playing in the first round again?

Missed opportunity last night, but they showed how they can play and be dominant in spurts, just need to be more consistent. Suter’s absence was pretty obvious last night, Prosser and Saucy should not be getting regular playoff minutes at all…

Jets obviously have no worries about icing the puck with an open net, Koivi was terrible on the draws he didn’t get kicked out of…

I thought it was a pretty darn good game. 2nd period when the boys were physical it was much better. They got away from that in the 3rd and it showed. All in all a good effort. I think we steal the game Friday then come back here for a 2 game sweep.

Looks like Captain Crosby is in it to win it.
They just play at a different Level than the rest of the League.
I thought it would be unlikely for them to get past Washington again. Right?
Not so sure after that game though.

It has less to do with Crosby, although I do dislike him, and more about wanting more parody (sp?).

I like have players I “hate” on teams. It makes it more fun. After all, it’s just entertainment.

Is Columbus this years Nashville?

All I know I was in Nashville last night…. down on the Honky Tonk strip and Bridgestone arena is right there also. Most of the bars have 3 levels with rooftop patios. There were buses going by with open rooftops filled with Predator fans. Everyone wearing yellow jerseys and having a good time. The whole town was buzzing about the game and they even have a cool nickname… “Smashville”

Just a lot of fun and what a sweet venue. Have to say I’m a little jealous!

Did anyone watch the Caps / Blue Jackets last night? My Lord, if Playoffphobia is a disease, the Caps have a terminal case. They looked like the whole point of playing that game was to make sure they handed Columbus the win. Ovechkin is so useless in overtime that they might as well throw a soggy jockstrap out on the ice to take his place. Maybe they just needed a kick in the breezers to get going, but wow was that a miserable G1 effort…

I don’t get the Crosby haters out there, they think they’re hiding the fact that they’re just jealous he isn’t playing on their team by making up a bunch of crap about why they allegedly don’t like the way he plays.

The only thing I hate about Crosby is the fact that he doesn’t play for my team. Ho-hum, that click you heard was the Pens shifting it into Playoff Overdrive. Poor Caps, no wonder they can’t get motivated.

Some really dirty hits last night, be interesting to see if the League decideds that keeping a Canadian team in the playoffs is more important then player safety.

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned Boudreau’s playoff record yet. Oops…

I’m not giving up on the wild. They were pretty badly outplayed in the first game, but it looked like Winnipeg was running on adrenaline. I don’t think they can keep that pace for 7 games so I hope the wild can steal at least one tonight. The x will be rockin if they come to town 1-1.

It’s pretty simple actually. It’s like a movie and every movie needs a bad guy. He doesn’t get a pass for being the best. I like it when he whines or takes a shot at someone. Gets my blood going.

Would I like him on my team? Duh.

I’d say we’re lucky to only be down by 1 right now. If we can somehow pull one off here that would be huge!

They look like crap so far. Getting tossed around and really haven’t mustered a good scoring chance through two periods. That last power play attempt was pathetic.

14 shots. For f sake you can’t waste a good goalie performance like that. The wild are just too soft. Once again our “best” players go AWOL.

Pretty sad when seeler, soucy and Greenway are holding their own while the rest of the team is sucking.

The Wild look absolutely lost. This is hard to watch.

Just an embarrassing game really. Not much else to say. Only shred of a silver lining is the fights at the end of the game by Seeler and Winick. At least somebody has a pulse still……

No.

Foligno had a good hit on him early. The difference is he pretty much stopped hitting while the Jets don’t. Those hit stats we’re pretty deceiving. If they measured them by power the Jets would get 2 points for each hit. And it worked the wings would get the puck along the boards, not move their feet and get rid of it as soon as possible. They need to move their damn feet.

This series is pretty much over. After game one you would have expected a better response from the wild. The Jets had the response.

By the way did anyone catch Crosby’s tantrum? Did he get an unsportsmanlike for smashing his stick across the net, because he should have.

DD has been phenomenal.

This ch!t is not fun to watch, and hasn’t been and will continue for years to come. But thankfully we make it to the playoffs, right?

Sorry, but this isn’t good enough for me anymore.

In todays sports you need to be really bad to miss the play-offs. Marginal ability gets you in and the owners 2 home game paydays.

Don’t be disappointed, don’t be surprised. Just enjoy the game as a sporting event.

I’ve never seen that called as an unsportsmanlike conduct, regardless of who did it. Kane does it all the time.

Unfortunately, the Wild are up against what really amounts to a much better team on this one. The other unfortunate part about this bracket is even if they could beat the Jets, Nashville is going to be waiting for the winner and they are on a totally different level. The Jets are going to outmuscle the Preads and the Jets getting out of position to deliver late hits is going to be exploited bigtime by the Preads.
