It’s so frustrating to see them lose to basement dwellers. It happens too often and I don’t understand it. But on the flip side you can’t win them all.

It’s frustrating that they can’t figure out how to beat the Yotes!!
Hopefully they can rebound tonight. Man they hit the iron a lot last night
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813March 2, 2018 at 8:21 am #1756454Yeah, losing the AZ twice is rather embarrassing. To me it seems we cannot keep up with their youth.
Tonight is a big one and we need it to keep our distance.March 2, 2018 at 10:43 am #1756487It’s so frustrating to see them lose to basement dwellers. It happens too often and I don’t understand it. But on the flip side you can’t win them all.
I totally agree, but I’m hard-pressed to point to anything that they were doing really badly last night. I think Staylock missed a makeable save there in the 3rd maybe, it was hard to tell how screened he really was. There were 2 no calls on obvious hooks and holds. But basically just a normal game is what all that amounts to.
The damn goalposts are still vibrating from all the metallurgy saves. Not much you can do when 4 hard clankers fail to find the twine.
Next.

March 2, 2018 at 9:20 pm #1756647This is unreal I am with Big gill, freaking blow it up. Total 180 and they suck again. Totally unwatchable tonight.
basseyesPosts: 2513March 3, 2018 at 5:41 am #1756663Oh yeah, don’t let me forget, this team’s got serious mental problems. They’ll keep being the wild. Well, at least we’ll get to the playoffs and loose in first round. That’s way better than at least competing for Stanley cups. Even LN says this team, the way it’s built right now, isn’t a cup contender. I’m sorry, if it’s one and done this year, I’m all for blowing it up. One and done is horse schitt, and I’m starting to think a cup is unattainable in most of our lifetimes at this rate. Been a hockey fan for forty year’s, I’m 45, looking at the years flying by, another 7 year’s of one and done’s is getting less and less acceptable. I like a lot of players and still hope something crazy happens, but if there’s a shred of truth to the old saying, past performance is indicative of future results, we are probably screwed. But I will still hope I’m wrong and be happy we have a good enough team to get to the playoffs, even if it’s not good enough to make a deep run.
Sincerely,
Still bitter the star’s left, then won a cup.
March 3, 2018 at 6:52 am #1756664Calm down. I cant believe the curse lives on. Ok let me remedy this.
The wild suck, they have mental problems and they aren’t getting close to the cup.
I swear I can’t say anything nice about them.
March 5, 2018 at 11:27 am #1757102Found some pictures from my past time spent on Wild’s message board. These are all pretty old, pre central division

Making fun of a Canuck fan who jumped ship during the playoffs when the Canucks were ousted.

CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813March 5, 2018 at 1:48 pm #1757150I admit, I was a bit hesitant when he was called up. I know its been some time since he played with the Gophers, but honestly he had a LONG way to go to sniff the NHL, but IMO he has played great since being brought up. He is physical in front of the net and doesn’t just let guys stand there.
He took a nasty high stick to the head (penalty) and then a stick to the seeds (no penalty) on one shift while battling with some guy last night. I like the game he plays and doesn’t seem to get out of body on anything. I am honestly more comfortable with him out there than Dumba right now. He has lost his game lately.March 5, 2018 at 1:59 pm #1757160That fight looked like how middleweight hockey fights used to go, just mashing and hoping to connect. You’d rarely see enforcers/heavy weights fight like that. That’s damn dangerous. I don’t think Seeler ever opened his eyes either during the fight.
March 5, 2018 at 2:09 pm #1757164That fight by Seeler was pretty good. I like this kid!!
Agree! The Wild can use a guy like that for sure!!
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813March 5, 2018 at 3:25 pm #1757188Well, what was your favorite Luke Kunin moment this year? Tore his ACL last night. Only his second game back up with the big club. Out 7 months.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813March 6, 2018 at 8:18 am #1757375Hmm, can we get Stewie back, you know, call psych?
can you imagine a line with Ennis and Anas? That would be a couple waterbugs out there. Anas has been having a good year in Iowa.
March 6, 2018 at 8:43 pm #1757690Man, Wes Walz has been bad enough on color tonight and then he says the “S” word! That should be lesson 1 in commentary school
March 6, 2018 at 10:21 pm #1757706Imagine that, he says shutout twice and they score twice. I’m not extremely superstitious but you just don’t say the s word while a goalie has a shutout going!
March 7, 2018 at 5:14 am #1757717You guys got your wish. They blew it up in the first 5 minutes of the second period.
March 7, 2018 at 6:01 am #1757722Another good @ss whoopin and Stahl is the highlight again!! It was touch and go in the first but they sure opened it up in the second.
You could tell Dub’s was pissed after that first goal..right off the “finger tips”. Too bad, he played a very good game and deserved a shutty
Question is which Wild team shows up Friday? Playing another bottom dweller after a good beat down on a competitive team….
Hoping Seeler will be back Friday.
March 7, 2018 at 8:14 am #1757745at this point it seems to be Home game = Jekyl, Away game = Hyde…
Will Fletcher’s signing of Stahl at a 3 year bargain basement price cancel out the pain of letting Leddy go? Every GM swings & misses sometimes, but i’d rather have a GM that has the nuts to take a chance vs one who doesn’t do anything…
I heard rumors that the Wild will offer Zucker a 6-8 year contract this off season with a lower yearly $ amount, i’d be fine with that. At 26 years old, I don’t see his game going anywhere but up for years to come…
March 7, 2018 at 8:40 am #1757759What pain? I don’t think Leddy is anything special. Sure, we lost in that trade, but I have never had regrets that we traded him.

This is the trade that has stuck with the Fletcher’s haters since it happend…

Don’t forget the Burns trade… Still tough to say who won that trade, but people sure love to bring it up when he’s putting up 70+ point seasons from the blueline.
March 7, 2018 at 10:51 am #1757811Fun game to watch, I love the goal scoring. Just hope they can stop laying eggs on the road I don’t get that.
March 7, 2018 at 11:35 am #1757824Fletch seems to live and die by rolling the dice on former 1st round picks and giving guys a second chance with new scenery. He seems to be 50/50? That Cam Barker deal was a complete loss.
