I can’t hear the announcers and the on ice sound is way too high. On one hand it’s kind of like being at the game, on the other I really like Panger and I can’t hear him.

How would you like to be in Fletcher’s shoes right now… having to make decisions based on how this team is playing right now? What team will show up the last few months of the season? The team that got smoked by Dallas or the team that smoked St Louis?

Helluva game last night. 45 seconds in I thought, here we go again, going to be a blowout. Well, I was right, but the blowout happened the other way! LOL

Since the first of the year we have been playing actually fairly good hockey over all, 9-3-2. It’s just when they lose a game its usually pretty bad, like the Pens, Stars, and Avs. We got outscored 19-6 in just those 3 games.

I would hope they just let this team ride things out and not make a move at the deadline, everyone is finally healthy.

Unless they fall 10 points behind, he’s going to take a shot at the playoffs for sure.

I just hope that any moves he makes will make us better in the future, not worse. This team is not built to go deep in the playoffs.

But keep in mind the Dallas game was the tail end of a back-to-back where the Wild beat the division leader and then got on a plane the same night. I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from that, the Wild looked good until their legs gave out in the second.

Is the sound f’d for everyone else on NBC?

Yes! Tha audio was terrible, it was like they left a mic on and laying under one of the benches. I had to mute the announcers it got so annoying.

Superior team effort against the Blues. Terrible goal given up early and as is typical the Wild get a long slow delayed whistle that let that trickle in, but then it was time to fire on all cylinders.

It was just a joy to chase Hutton out of the net after the first and then beat Allen for even more goals in the last 2 periods.

Anybody that thinks the Wild are “too small” and don’t hit hard should watch that game again. The Wild scrambled the eggs of a couple of Blues players who must have read the scouting report that said the Wild don’t hit. The Wild might not be the Goon Squad, but they’ll lay you out if you get caught with your head down.

Dumba! Anybody still looking to put Dumba on the first bus out of town like so many were 2 years ago? Along with Grandlund, proving once again that you can’t throw away players that don’t peak at age 21.

The Central is just so tough right now. IMO the Wild are playing well against very strong competition. You look at the last 3 games, that’s 3 games in a row against teams that are having strong seasons and have lots of weapons.

Awesome game and good recovery for the Wild.

Second gear Sutter needs to take a bus out of town. That should have been a game winner but his slow butt is to tired to go when he needs to. Beat the blue’s, loose to the coyotes wtf?

Before I got to bed, wild up 3-1 in 3rd. Wake up to see if the wild scores any more to pad their stats. 4-3 in OT? Solid

that was a pretty brutal effort last night…

and how many times Wes Walz was wrong last night?…”Let’s watch Mikko win this draw and kill 30 seconds of their power play” (Koivu loses the draw) “The Wild will buckle down and hold this 3-1 lead and win this game giving them momentum for the tough homestand” (Coyotes scored a few minutes later)…”The Wild needs to get back to it’s game here and hold this 3-2 lead to victory and stay place in the west” (They didn’t) “Olfson was put in this major spot with less than a minute to go, lets see if this kid can play his best” (He failed to get the puck out of the zone two times, the puck was then passed through his legs backdoor for the tying goal with 18 seconds left – To his credit he did swat out a puck that likely would have gone in 20 seconds earlier)

I swear Walz was like 0/10 on his little predictions, kinda funny to listen to….

You just cannot let a team like that hang around at all! They are on a back to back, just took Winnipeg to OT the night before, stomping on em early should be the ticket. 3 goal lead should hold up, but you give up a goal right after failing to capitalize on a prime scoring chance to make it 4-0. Putrid.
I think everyone else around us in the standings won last night too. Certainly doesn’t help. Well, we have 4 more at home to get that roll going and some teams that are floundering too.
I’m not interested in blowing the team up, they have been playing overall pretty well since December, but they cannot afford losses like that one last night again.

Seems I’ve seen this movie before. It takes a couple games for the Wild to learn that just because you had a good showing the last game, you cannot coast through this game, even with a lead, against a basement team. Usually tis signals the sputtering before they take off. IT’s a wake up call.

We’ll see if they go back to bed.

Have you guys ever seen something like a train wreck? Where you didn’t want to watch the inevitable horror of it, but you just couldn’t look away?

If you haven’t, you should have tuned in to Fox Sports North last night. You’d have seen a doozy.

MK and RS were awful last night, they both looked constipated. And I like MK.

ZP is frustrating. The effort is there, but when you see the shoot out goal the other night, the skating and hands were absolutely incredible. In game he looks like an out of control six month old lab puppy sometimes, with no ability to control anything he does. His hands, puck control and skating are spastic at best most of the time. If he could get himself under a little control in game’s he could be a good player, vs a scrappy, spastic pest.

That OT showed what this team is. Control the puck for two minutes. Get a chance where someone should have buried the puck and the chance is pooched. Let a sub-par team beat you and take advantage of their chances. RS was so slow getting to that puck it was painful to watch him get out skated by a goalie. He needs to sit his arse on the pine more and a coach that makes him understand that.

Have been saying for a long time, there’s something mentally wrong with this team. To give up four goals in a row to the coyotes, after having a three goal lead, even with JB out is unacceptable.
Once or twice a season, yeah it happens. But there’s a pattern of quitting.

To be fair he had one that stuck… it was 3-1 and the Wild were getting pounded – he made the comment that they were going to need a 4th goal to get the win. So give him 1/11 I guess, and the only one he got right was when he bet against the Wild.

I think Wes needs to stick to post game analysis, I like him there.

With the Wild’s brilliant effort last night, they set a new team record point streak at home… what a way to do it.

I’ve been saying that since 2000

I think I heard him do color for one game, maybe when he first jumped in the booth and I agree. I liked him a lot in studio analysis, but he’s bad at color.

Koivu needs to figure out how to NOT get thrown out of the circle 50% of the time. I know old dog, new tricks, etc, but we cannot have our best faceoff guy getting tossed half the time.

To me the problem wasn’t losing in OT, it was allowing the game to ever get to OT in the first place. The whole team curled up and died as soon as they scored the 3rd goal. Like that’s what constitutes a “safe” lead in the NHL.

I don’t know. I hate the idea of basically cheering for my own team to lose, but it’s the system. The NHL rewards dismal failure because that’s how you get top 5 draft picks. Just look at the teams that were built on miserable failure and cellar dwelling seasons and then got rewarded with franchise players. Chicago. Edmonton. Toronto. This dragging buttski into the playoffs only to exit in R1 is killing us on the draft front. Obviously that’s WHEN we even have a first round pick.

I’d like to see the Wild make a bold move not because I think it would fix everything, but because it would just generate a lot of interest in seeing how it worked out. I don’t think Fletcher is a big trade GM, though.

It seems this is just the team’s identity. How does an owner, GM and coach deal with the inconsistency and immovable contracts? I have no clue. Blow the team up, yikes that would suck. Stay on the roller coaster and hope something changes is where we’ve been and where we are headed it seems, till the major contracts run their course, those players say uncle or we get lucky and something unforeseeable happens.

Does anyone remember when there was 5 broken sticks between every whistle? I saw someone break a stick and realized that these hockey stick companies finally got it right.
