That game was virtually unwatchable, the Wild didn’t even show up form the first puck drop. Can’t have that this late in the season. Better pull it together real soon and be more consistent.

So I’m a Colorado fan and I liked seeing the wild loose but what I didn’t like was seeing Dubnyk loosing his s**t after getting beat a few times. Class it up guys, everyone is going to have a bad night from time to time. There was no reason for what he did.
Yeah guys, keep it classy like Roy
Keep talking
No place for this
January 8, 2018 at 12:58 pm #1742252Anyone see this nasty block. The clip is edited, he was down a little longer than it shows. That could have ended very badly.

Haha good point! Not saying that our team hasn’t done it just saying it is unprofessional. I don’t like seeing our team do it anymore than yours actually dislike it more when it is our team. Same reason I can’t stand to watch the NFL anymore.

Whoa, I didn’t see that, but he is certainly lucky.

Just know in the 90s when MN didn’t have a team I was an Avs fan.

Besides Grant Fuhr and Marty Brodeur have you ever seen a stable minded goalie?

Exactly! My brother was one.

There’s a low bar. Fuhr and Brodeur stable?
January 9, 2018 at 7:59 am #1742531in terms of games played/freak outs…yes i’ll stand by my claim….goalies are crazy….

January 9, 2018 at 9:37 am #1742572I like Brodeur in those Enterprise commercials.
Remember Sean Avery screening him by face guarding? I think for my life Sean Avery will be my most hated NHLer. He still calls Marty Fatso today. Avery is just a sick sub human being. Then again he likes playing with dolls.
January 9, 2018 at 10:00 am #1742582Avery was a child….BUT he had his moments scoring some decent points over his career…he played the pest role perfectly, although some times he crossed the line…
Here’s a good question, top 3 NHL agitators of all time?
Here’s my more recent list:
1) Ott
2) Cooke
3) AveryIt was always my wish that the Boogaard freight train would have caught them with their head down…
January 9, 2018 at 10:47 am #1742608Avery crossed the line of human decency. Darcy Tucker wasn’t much better.
Ott is the #1 current pest. I know people hate him, but he actually seems class and sportsmanlike.
January 9, 2018 at 11:02 am #1742622Ott – I know people hate him, but he actually seems class and sportsmanlike.
I just spit my coffee all over my monitor…
January 9, 2018 at 11:12 am #1742630I am being serious. He’s one of those guys who leaves it on the ice. He’ll try and rattle you during the game and buy you a beer afterward.
January 9, 2018 at 11:26 am #1742633Just know in the 90s when MN didn’t have a team I was an Avs fan.
I’m so sorry. I’m glad you got through this low point in our life and recovered. It must have been hell. I suppose it could have been worse, you could have become a Flyers fan, but bad enough…
An Avs fan telling MN to keep it classy. Now I’ve seen everything.
Ott is the #1 current pest. I know people hate him, but he actually seems class and sportsmanlike.
Pug, have you received any blows to the head lately? Remember, concussions aren’t something to mess around with, you’re displaying one of the classic signs: Tempory loss of consciousness, tunnel vision, thinking Steve Ott is really a classy guy…

Scary, but I’m with Pug on this one. Ott knew his role and played it well, but off the ice he seemed like a good guy and was well liked and respected in the locker room. Heck, he was hired as an NHL assistant before he even retired from playing – that speaks volumes IMO.
Avery took it to another level and I’m pretty confident that overall he’s just a terrible person.

I know all those cups and hall of famers I watched, I have no idea how I got through it.
January 9, 2018 at 1:38 pm #1742682I think he just has something for guys with last names starting with Zuc
January 9, 2018 at 10:19 pm #1742827Tell me if you’ve heard this before… “Koivu is slow to make a line change and the Wild lose on an odd-man rush in overtime”
UNREAL!!!! Keep him off the ice in OT!!!!!!
January 10, 2018 at 6:07 am #1742850I had the good fortune, thanks to my brother, of having the best seats I ever had last night. Left of the visitor goal 2 rows off the glass. Some of the worst hockey I have ever watched Stewart started off the season pretty hot, he is worthless now, you are a big dude, HIT SOMEONE!!! Suter is the home town hero, but lately his puck control has been atrocious, how many pucks have to bounce over his stick on the blue line??? Where the heck is Niedereiter? One game back and he is sitting again? Granny is a tiny guy for a hockey player and he was the most physical guy on the ice last night. This team needs to quick trying to be the littlest fastest team in the NHL and needs to get more physical. I was embarrassed to wear the Wild sweater last night.
basseyesPosts: 2513January 10, 2018 at 10:24 am #1742932Will keep beating this drum, there is something seriously mentally wrong with this team.
January 10, 2018 at 1:34 pm #1743007Some of the worst hockey I have ever watched
I shut it off in the 2nd period. They are just hard to watch this year. I did see Coyle botch two chance right in front of the net – more shoulda woulda coulda with that guy. They are taking bad penalties as a team. I was thinking the same thing HIT SOMEONE. Start a fight I don’t care – get some attitude.
I try get optimistic when it looks like they might turn things around, but this season as a whole is an embarrassment so far!
January 10, 2018 at 2:39 pm #1743020I am going to watch tonight against the Blackhawks, hope they look better and come to play tonight.
January 11, 2018 at 8:24 am #1743213Now that’s better. I only got to watch the third period last night, but to me there is nothing better than beating the Blackhawks
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813January 11, 2018 at 10:06 am #1743244Much better than the result against the Avs. We needed both points and not to give any to the Hawks.
I still think the Hawks lone goal was offsides. BB challenged it and the ref said the ruling was “confirmed” no way. Maybe inconclusive at best, but no way it was confirmed to be onsides.
Either way, it was a pretty decent win against a team we have to punch down the standings. Now lets win the next one at home before our Bye week. Standings will change a bit because teams are on the bye at different times so we can gain on the Avs since they are on theirs right now.January 11, 2018 at 10:10 am #1743245Just another instance of replay ruining a sporting event. Only replay I want is if the ball, puck crossed the goal line went over the wall.
They want to take the human element out of a game played by humans.
Sorry for the rant.
January 11, 2018 at 11:38 am #1743287I agree the offsides replay needs to be changed. Forget the skate on the ice BS and just go with any body part. Ruins too many scoring opportunities and the NHL could use a little more scoring anyway (in my opinion)
As far as the game….. meh. Glad to see them get the win, but they didn’t look very good. Gonna need to play MUCH better, and soon.
January 11, 2018 at 11:57 am #1743293Can you imagine how bad it would be with the offsides replays if they still had a centerline and 2 line pass call?
I would change the rule to be any player not possessing the puck has to have the toe of his trailing skate behind the line, but it doesn’t have to be touching the ice.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22813January 11, 2018 at 12:57 pm #1743324Can you imagine how bad it would be with the offsides replays if they still had a centerline and 2 line pass call?
I cant believe I forgot about that rule. That would be insane if the 2 line pass was still illegal.
I do like the fact that a challenging team is penalized if the call is not overturned. reduces the number of challenges.
