Was it when they started playing the Prince music for goals that they stopped scoring? whistling I didn’t make it to a single game this year so not sure when they started using that for a goal song.

They started using it during the playoffs in 2016 since it followed Prince’s death. They made the announcement at the beginning of the season they were going to continue using it.
Since they were what, the 2nd highest scoring team in the regular season I think the song was not the issue.
It makes me so angry to see these teams still playing and our team getting hernia surgery, playing golf or getting dental work done.
I will admit though, there is no way the Wild would have measured up against the level of play of the Caps/Pens series right now. That is a heavy series.

I’m with ya’ on the anger on us not playing. Playoff hockey is the BOMB so it’s hard to not watch our Wild playing BUT I would say I’d love to see us in a series against either the Caps or Pens. We’d hang with them! We just ran into an incredibly hot goalie in Allen. That was our demise…

(Oh I’ll take the old goal song over “Lets go Crazy” any day! Love Prince but I love him coming out of my car speakers not at the X…)

…if they lost the prince crap. I’d just have to find a new villain.

The MN Wild season ticket holder survey included this question:

Should the Wild keep Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” as our goal celebration song?
    A. No
    B. No

I guess that pretty much sums it up.

Are you kidding or is that real? If it is real I’d give the marketing dept props, that would be ballsy.

If there’s a song to get rid of I’m voting for “Stand Up” from Steel Dragon. That song has to go.

I’d love to see the Press vs Sens…and I know the NHL would hate that.

Preds, Ducks, Pens and Sens…no one saw those conference finals coming.

It warms my heart to see the Caps pack their bags and go home. Not as much as it did when the Hawks went home though toast

The Penguins would have to be conSydered to have a great shot at repeating if they weren’t so banged up entering the playoffs. If they get through the first round and get some key players back Look out!

    2ND Round predictions?
Well,The Capitols were’nt a complete whiff, but I’m sticking with the rest

So Spud gets his name on the Cup once more. coffee coffee

Not going to happen. Grandlund and Nino are both due a raise. Cap estimated to only go up $3-4 million for next season. Unless Oshie’s going to play for almost nothing to play in MN, we don’t have the cap space unless the Wild can really dangle some bait in front of Vegas to dump salary in the expansion draft.

The Wild need to expose Coyle and pray or pay. IMO, it will take the pay option to get Vegas to take his useless buttski off our hands.

Oshie…They will find a way to at the very least call the guys agent and begin some talks. Its all about marketing baby and bringing ‘home’ an Oshie would be a no-brainer PR move! The money can be there if they want it to. Happens in every sport…

If they could get rid of some of dead wieght that plagues them; picking up Oshie would be a step in the right direction. waytogo

Syd is… looking more and more likely he will have his name on the cup again.

It’s like watching Jordan,Bird, Magic, taking turns putting their names on the championship trophy.

No, But he is an improvement over anyone the wild have on their roster at this time.

He might help them get to the second round of the playoffs if that is all you want.
If they want a Stanley Cup,they need much more than Oshie.
They have young up and coming teams in the coference that have talent levels far and above what the Wild have now.

Well, yeah, but other than those minor flaws, I totally saw it coming. roll roll

He would never admit it until they win a cup.

Maybe Oshie, Ovechkin, Matthews, Backstrom, McDavid, Kane, Towes and a few other of these “superstar” players can get together and let us all know what this superstar looks like so we can recognize him when we finally get one on the Wild. After all, they aren’t doing anything for a while.

Yep, a superstar. That’s what wins cups. Just get yourself one of those superstars and Lord Stanley’s tableware is headed your way.
