Roll call for who will be watching or attending the IA vs MN wresting dual tonight. This one is going to be a barn burner. I’ll be there, and I admit that I haven’t been this excited about anything for awhile, including bowhunting!

It starts at 6 pm and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. #1 vs #2.

I will NOT be wishing any sort of luck for Iowa. Go Gophers!!!

Even though I Wrestled for a Powerhouse back in High School. I’ve never followed the sport much. I’ve caught a few matches this year on TV and really enjoyed watching them. I’d like to go to a watch a UOM match live some day. This would have been a good one to catch. I may see if tickets are still available

    I’ll be watching.

It’s interesting to me how wrestling is huge in some areas and then non-existent in others.

I remember going to a wrestling match in Hancock, MN once in the late 1970s and it was a madhouse. I had been to basketball games there before and the difference was like comparing a PGA golf event to a Metallica concert.

Went to another match down in Canby once. Same thing. Last 6 matches were all won by just a few points and then it was back to a tie at the HWT match. Freaking electric.

Big 10 network will have it. Be sure to check the sub-channels because they seem to hose the schedule up a lot with what’s on the main BTN channel vs the sub channels.

I don’t pay attention to a whole lot in the sports world, but I’ve had Gopher Wrestling season tickets for a few years now. They’re a blast; especially the good ones like tonight will be!

It will be a zoo in the barn tonight. Likely over 10K people. This will be the most aggressive wrestling of the season. Big Ten championship and #1 ranking on the line. This is the number 1 rivalry in college wrestling hands down. INTENSITY!!!

I was there as well with my son who is just getting into the sport as a 2nd grader. It was only my 2nd u of m match I have been to but it was a blast.

Very fun to see things through the eyes of a 8 year old. We got in late due to traffic and just ran to our seats. Watched the match and told my son to stop and look around at the stadium. His eyes got all big and he just says “whoa, this is awesome”. Cool experience.

I recorded the meet and watched it late last night. I am a Hawkeye and glad for the outcome, but have to say the officiating was suspect at times with those calls against the Gophers. That Dylan Ness puts on a show every time I watch too.

Thank you! Not that it would have affected to overall outcome, but those officials were awful. Even some Hawkeye fans behind me agreed.

He looked like death warmed over yet still put on an exciting show!

I brought my 3-year old to a match earlier in the year. He provided a lot of entertainment to the guys around me with his never-ending questions! He always wants to go with me, now, and he’s got his Gophers poster hanging in his room.

MN has some weights that just arent where they should be, but IA is pretty solid up and down the lineup.

I still see MN winning the Nationals if their top wrestlers do what they should.

Iowa is really solid, and I would have been surprised if MN would have pulled it off. MN needs a 165-lber (Wanzek is good, but young and inconsistent) and a 125-lber (curious if they’ve given up on Brancale since they pulled Lizak’s reshirt).

I watched the whole meet on TV. I once didn’t see brass knuckles, pile driver or a head to the turn buckle. devil devil

seriously though was a fun to watch.
