What’s involve for fees/registration/sales tax if, as a MN resident, I purchase an ATV from a dealer in Wisconsin? Do I pay Wisconsin sales tax and then MN registration fees? No Wisconsin tax, just MN sales tax and registration? No sales tax?
You would pay the sales tax and associated fees to the state you live in.At least that is what I did for the last few vehicle purchases I have made.
For some reason,the last vehicles I bought were substantially cheaper in Rochester.
When you get home and license it you will pay your state tax.
The dealer may collect the sales tax but it would be for the state you live in.
