Is half the Warroad team captains?

I think they have 3 C’s no A’s, not really that uncommon in high school. I mean New Ulm goalie has a C, I always love that.

I’m sure they’re still be pumped to make it there, good for that program. Running time at the X is always a tough look though

That was the first Michigan goal I’ve seen where the puck kind of just rolled onto their stick, kid looked almost suprised like “Oh well, since it’s resting there let’s give it whirl” jester

Saw the replay finally of that. Impressive! That kid has to be on cloud nine that it was in the state tourney no less. I think he was a younger kid too wasnt he?

Kind of forgot about Northfield. Seen them play a couple times this year. They have a solid team.

I want Northfield to lose just because of their team manager coffee

The first period of the Northfield & St. Cloud game was buzzing with energy from both teams.

It’s amazing to see players able to dangle and undress a defenseman one on one in HS so often, but once they get to D1 and higher it’s pretty much impossible. Defenders are prone to getting beat at this level, not so much at the next.

    Hermantown looks pretty impressive.

Remember Rhett Pitlick displayed an insane goal last year. One on one.

Was really pulling for Orono there. Not sure how I feel about replay in hs sports if it’s not available the entire season.

I think every coach there would tell you they want the right call made on the biggest stage.
Mahtomedi is going to give Hermantown a game.

I havent been able to watch any of the games from home because directv stream doesnt have 45. The satellite does however since I watched games at the bar yesterday. Weird.
Im not watching it on my PC.

High school arenas aren’t outfitted for replay review. Some section finals are played in college arenas capable of video review (Duluth, St Cloud).

The X is an NHL arena and it obviously has the capability. It would be foolish not to use that technology when its available IMO

I agree with this, it’s nice to get the call right though.
