Giving up contact information plus money to Mn-Fish wouldn’t work for me.

Fishing with Al would be a real treat for me. Maybe I’d do it for a grand, but I’m sure it will go for a bit more than that.

There were some great deals in the Women Anglers of Minnesota guide auction that wrapped up last week. I’ve been donating a trip to that one for a few years now.

Funny how all the opening bids are 50% of what they list as the value. Normally I would say it all goes to a good cause but I can’t say that in this case.

Best of luck EPG, it would be a fun day on the water.

I don’t dare run up the bids on EPG, because I’ll get stick with some random trip in the dead of August that I don’t want…especially with what appears to be a lackluster participation rate

If he just wants to watch and not try to participate that would be ok. Oh wait were talking fishing. I dont wanna go with him.

Good luck EP.I think you should try for the trip with Mr.Linder.If you would get the winning bid you could spend the day trying to get him on Bourban and cigars.Oh and tabs.
I think the Bro Brosdahl trip would be a good one.

    Chuck,
I have a good story about Al Lindner when I was out fishing on North Long Lake in Brainerd back in the 70’s.

Next time we’re in front of a campfire I’ll tell ya, prolly Sept unless you can make it to Roosie before then.

If I had more silly money, I’d place a bid on Al — he’s up over $2.5K now. My (non-fishing, very urban) Dad took me to a 2-day weekend seminar at the Radisson Hotel in downtown St. Paul with Al and Ron in the early 1980s when I expressed an interest in fishing.

I soaked up every word, bought whatever book they were peddling at the time, and still own the original tackle box I assembled at the time based on their advice. I even got a “No Nukes” sticker somebody was passing around that remains along with my 1980s vintage Daredevels and Rapalas.
