Mn DNR won’t take eggs this spring

There goes a year class for every put and take walleye lake out there……and there are alot of those lakes out there!!!

Just curious why anyone would be upset if it could put someones life at risk for non essential service. I can understand the dissapointment. But one year of lost year class is not the end of the world it happens all the time in nature.

Private smaller fisheries will still be trying to fulfill some of those stocking contracts. Not nearly the numbers the dnr does but some. We have one preparing to milk walleyes from our private pond because they knew awhile back that this probably would happen.
