I picked up my tag for the A season yesterday and flipped through the regs book amd had a couple questions for the MN guys. First off, if your in the antler point restricted area do you have to do in person regiatration? I thought I had heard that but couldn’t find it in the pamphlet.
Second, is the te table in the back not have the 30 minute adjustments in it for actual shooting hours? The morning time especially seemed late to me compared to the wi table, but it does say sunrise/set so thought maybe I’ve got to add it in to get actual shooting hours?

First time hunting the gun season in mn, but just setting up the stand with my in laws yesterday I already saw more deer than I have bow hunting in wi so far this fall so it’s looking to be a good move.

You can register deer in zone 3 in person, over the phone or on the internet. They did have restrictions on phone and internet registration a few years ago, but that is no more. In areas with Chronic Wasting Deisease, you won’t be allowed to register online or phone if they are doing testing in that zone.

The table in the back of the book is for sunrise and sunset. The regulation book is for all hunting. Not every species has hunting hours that extend 1/2 hour before sunrise and 1/2 hour after sunset like deer. For example, small game hunting in Minnesota ends at sunset each day. You need to make the 1/2 hour adjustment for proper shooting times.

I can’t answer the registration question, but the table in the back of the regs is sunrise and sunset table. The 30 minutes is NOT subtracted from that.
