MN ATV registration

    Recently moved to MN and recently got my first ATV. The regs are a little confusing, do I need to register the ATV to drive on public lakes?

    yes, if it leaves your property it must be registered

    Technically all ATV’s newer than 25 years old need to be registered in MN. Check page 9 in the reg books for the very few exceptions. Note that ORV’s are not the same as ATV’s in the book. Really the only blanket exemption is if it’s solely used for racing on a closed track.
