Anybody running the MK Ulterra quest on their boats yet. I am looking to change out an OG ultrex to this motor and wondering if I could get some real life opinions from this site. I have looked at YT but hard to determine the influencers with the everyday users. Thanks for the info.
I am already running G4N HBs and I use a stand alone LS garmin. Going on a 2015 skeeter 2040
I have an Ulterra Quest with a 72″ shaft and have used it for a full season after upgrading from the previous generation Ulterra. I have it linked to a Helix 9 and use it quite alot for steering the boat while pushing with my kicker usually using “Follow the Contour” when trolling.
I had zero issues with it and it’s like the older generation Ulterra on steroids.
I highly recommend it.
How is the ht when in stow mode. Does it interfere with being able to see over it when on plane? Not sure what boat you have it mounted on thanks again
I have an Alaskan 2000DC. The Quest definitely blocks the view directly in front of it creating a small blind spot but one just has to keep that in mind when driving.
