Fished 6/13/09 from Verdel down to Running Water to end up 4th in our little club tournament with 5 smallies for 10.4 pounds. 3rd was 10.5, 2nd 10.6, with the winner at 11.5 pounds. Everybody had a limit. Just not much for size. Only two over 3pounds and took all day to find a 2pound average.
Caught fish still in the backwaters and on the main river. Tubes, craws, worms, jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, you name it and I don’t doube you can get bit on it. Nobody had a problem finding fish to bite but size is a challenge.
