Just got back from a week at the NE Bass Federation State Tournament at Grand Lake. Sense the called it short for high winds the last day it gave me the weekend free to go fish some more so I headed for the river.
Saturday was a little cool but Sunday couldn’t have been much better. The water’s low and only in the uper 40’s but the smallmouth didn’t seem to mind. Its got them all staging for the spawn and just waiting for the water to come up and warm. When you find’em you can about drop anchor and ware yourself out. One of the top weekends I’ve had on the river. Only wish it worked that way every time I went…….
