Anyone have any pointers to a first time visitor to the lake? Love to catch some fall walleyes up there if possible? Trying to go up on Saturday the 27th.

try trolling along the rocks at the dam, move deeper or shallow, or just see what others are doing. You may have to use leadcore or snap weghts to get down with shad rap style baits. They come through in waves, good luck.
October 26, 2007 at 11:23 pm #619958Work the breaklines in front of Weighand & from Gavins Point to the SD Marina with jig & minnow. I like to use Gulp tipped with a minnow. Creek chub (not sucker chub) on a lindy type rig will work also.
There probably will be quite a few boats around Sat, just ask what is working, most guys will tell you, some a$$holes won’t.
