I see there is a launch near 169 and the river in Anoka. Is it safe to carefully running a 20 ft fiberglass boat? Is the waterflow there near normal levels? I guess I’m really asking is it safe to fish for Eyes with raps in Anoka? We’re thinking about tomorrow morning. Quick responses would be appreciated. Hoping to go out there tomorrow morning.
There is a regional park at basically 169 and 10 up in Anoka. I haven’t been on it in a couple years but it could handle large boats and that stretch was no problem.

If you go downstream from the bridge to the Coon Rapids dam it’s pretty safe and plenty deep. Going upstream of it there are some sandbars and such that can sit just below the surface.
Stay south of 169 bridge, and stick to center of channel. Will be all good.
Safe to fish for eyes? Yes. Worth it? Idk. Not many people have luck up that way for eyeballs. I’ve had luck deep on the main channel edges with structure all on firetiger.
