    Went down to a friends cabin on the Mississippi in Clayton Iowa (Right across the river from Prairie du chien in wisconsin) His cabin is 170 years old!?
    BEAUTIFUL spot. The view is from the scenic overlook at the State Park of Pike’s Peak ( yes, Lewis and Clark discovered AND named this one too) of the Mississippi with Prairie du chien in the background.
    Caught some Smallies and nice Walleyes – this was the smallest at 21.5 inches
    ( can you imagine this place with Fall colors?!)

    The great river road from the twin cities to Prairie Du Chien is one of my favorite rides. Just beautiful.

    Wow what a beautiful view. Really nice area but have only been down that way twice I think, will have to visit again.
